Create Deployment

  1. Login to Canvas:

  2. Access App Configurations:

    • Click on the Admin tab.

    • Select your university.

    • Go to the Settings tab.

    • Go to the Apps menu.

    • Click View App Configurations.

    • Click +App.

  3. Add App:

    • Select By Client ID as the configuration type.

    • Enter the Client ID.

    • Click Submit.

    • A pop-up will appear: "Tool '*' found for client ID *. Would you like to install it?" Click Install.

    • Another pop-up may appear: "This tool has already been installed in this context. Would you like to install it anyway?" Click Yes, install tool.

  4. Configure Deployment:

    • Find your tool from the list and click the settings button next to it.

    • Click Placement to add it to the course.

    • Close the App Placements pop-up.

    • Find your tool from the list and click the settings button next to it.

    • Click Deployment IDs.

    • Note down the Deployment ID (format: xxx:xxxxxxxxxx).

    • Click Close.
